Henry Cord died at the county farm this morning shortly after midnight of dropsy, after an illness of long duration with dropsy, aged 77. His wife and 3 children are all dead. He used to be a well known farmer and stock buyer near Waveland. His body will be taken to the home of his sister, Mrs. Alex Bowers of New Market this afternoon where it will remain until Tuesday noon when short servies will be held after which the body will be taken to the Jarvis cemetery for burial. - kbz
