Mrs. Bertha Ellen CORNELL, 76, of Browns Valley died at her home Thursday evening, July 11 following an illness of a year. Mrs. Cornell was born Jan 2, 1887, daughter of Frank and Schereleda Wilson Hetrick. Member of EUB Church, Monroe. Surviviors: husband, Ben, son Ben Jr; two daughters, Mary E and Mrs. Martha E. Reagen; a brother, Joseph M. Hetrick and 9 grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Meirs of Spencer Sunday at 1 p.m. at McGaughey & Son Funeral Home; burial in Cloverdale.

BROWNS VALLEY -- Mrs. Bertha Ellen Cornell, 76, died at her home here Thursday evening. She had been in failing health the past year. Mrs. Cornell was born Jan. 2, 1887, the daughter of Frank and Schereleda Wilson Hetrick. She was a member of the UB Church at Monroe. Survivors include her husband Ben; a son, Ben Cornell, Jr. of Browns Valley; two daughters, Miss Mary E. Cornell of Beulah, Mich. and Mrs. Martha E. Reagen of Thorntown; a brother, Joseph M. Hetrick of Sarasota, Fla., and nine grandchildren. The body was taken to McGaughey & Son Funeral Home at Russellville. Funeral arrangements are pending. - kbz
