Mrs. Lillie M. Cornett, 50, of 509 Illinois St., died at 5:40 a.m. today in St. Elizabeth Hospital at Lafayette after a long illness. She was a member of the First Church of God. Born Dec. 3, 1928, at Crawfordsville, she was a daughter of Joe and Inez Williams Thurman. She was married to Otis Cornett on June 4, 1949. He survives. Also surviving are three sons, Steve, Duane and Randy, all of Crawfordsville; a daughter, Connie Lofland of Crawfordsville; three half-brothers, Virgil, Fred and Robert Toney of Crawfordsville; a sister, Nollie Bell of Waveland; three half-sisters, Lula Harrison of Crawfordsville, Mary Britton of Williamsport and Rose Walden of Crawfordsville; and seven grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Hunt & Son Funeral Home with the Rev. Lowell Williams officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Friday. – jlr
