Robert F. Cory, son of Samuel and Lydia A. Cory was born in Marion County, Indiana Feb 21, 1850 and died at the home of his son, Walter Cory near Shannondale Jan 6, 1910, aged 59 Years 10 Months and 25 Days. On Feb 23, 1871, he married Ellen Sargent. To this union were born 7 children, all boys. Four of these are living and present here today the other three and their mother are deceased. Mr. Cory after the death of his wife went to Colorado and NC to regain his health which was rapidly declining. He was a kind and loving husband and father. He is survived by one brother, four sisters, four children and nine grandchildren, seven of whom are living. Funeral services were held at Walter Cory's Saturday Jan 8, 1910. Rev. GW Pearce preached the funeral. Another funeral will be held at Ray Corys of Indianapolis at 1 p.m. Monday. - kbz
