Mrs. Effie Mae COSBY, 68, a resident of Montgomery County most of her life, died at 8 a.m. Saturday in Rudisill Nursing Home, Crawfordsville. She was born April 19, 1893, daughter of Theodore and Fannie W. Myers Friend. On Oct 26, 1913, she married Lando Cosby in Crawfordsville. She was a member of the Browns Valley Christian Church. Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Mrs. Virginia Crosby; four sons: Leonard and Kenneth of Crawfordsville; Lyle of near New Market and Lando of New Jersey; four brothers, Ellis Friend of Crawfordsville; Buford Friend of New Market; Everett Friend of Lowell and Arthur Friend of Darlington; five sisters, Mrs. Ethel Hester; Mrs. Opal Rice and Mrs. Nellie Swearingen of Crawfordsville; Mrs. Pauline Reeves and Mrs. Eva Gentry of New Market and 14 grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Browns Valley Christian Church; burial in Masonic Cemetery.
