Mrs. Mary L. Couger, 56, of 407 California St. died at 2:12 a.m. Sunday at her home after an illness of two years. She was born Sept.ember24, 1903, in Montgomery County, the daughter of Albert and Emma Van Cleave Armstrong. She married Charles Couger June 23, 1929, at New Market. Mrs. Couger was a member of the Mt. Zion EUB Church and was a graduate of New Market High School. She also was vice president of Ace Hardware Store, which is operated by Mr. Couger. Survivors include the husband; two brothers, Lawrence and Edwin Armstrong, both of New Market; two aunts, Effie and Alma VanCleave, both of New Market and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Hunt and Son Funeral Home with Rev. Henry Karg officiating. Burial will be in Indian Creek Hill Cemetery.
