Allie Morris, was born in Delaware county, Indiana, December 4, 1851. Died February 8, 1901, aged 49 years, 2 months, and 4 days. She was married to Franklin Cox, November 13, 1873. Born to them four children, one dying in infancy. One son and two daughters survive her, Wallace, Stella, and Beulah, one little granddaughter, Alta. She also leaves four sisters and tow brothers. She joined the M.E. church during the pastorate of E.R. Johnson in 1878, being a member for 23 years. She had been an invalid for almost six years. During her illness she was very often deprived of attending church, but she never forgot to love and obey her master. She has always been a kind good wife, mother, sister, and neighbor, loved by all who knew her. Her loss will be deeply felt in the church and neighborhood. Bur our loss is her eternal gain. Crawfordsville Daily Journal, Friday February 15, 1901 Mrs. Frank Cox, at one time a resident of Darlington, but lately of near Shannondale, died at her home Friday evening. Funeral services were held at Kingsley's Chapel Sunday morning by the pastor. Interment was made at Mace immediately after. Mrs. cox had many friends here who today join with the family mourning her departure.
