Isaac M. COX died at the home of his stepdaughter, Mrs. Clyde Marshall, early on Saturday morning. Funeral services at the Machledt home on Monday morning were in charge of Rev. NT Gottschall. Burial in Highland Lawn Cemetery Terre Haute. Isaac M. COX, son of Aris and Jane cox was born the 7th of May 1853 at Hoosierville and passed away Oct 26 at his home in Waveland. He was married to Irene A. JOHNSON at Asherville May 9, 1875. To this union were born two sons, Oliver of Terre Haute and Commodore of Brazil; two daughters, Pearl and Mary Jane who preceded him in death. After the death of his wife, he was united in marriage to Mrs. Mary E. AKINS who departed life in 1922. Since that time Mr. Cox has made his home with his step daughter, Mrs. Clyde MARSHALL. Mr. Cox was a member of the Methodist Church of Waveland a member of Waveland Lodge F & AM and of Lincoln Council Junior Order of American Mechanics. He worked for the Pennsylvania RR 25 years until his retirement 12 years ago. He was also a member of the Old Veteran organization of the road. Besides the two sons he leaves to mourn his death 3 brothers: George of Brazil; Walter of Indianapolis and Edward of Los Angeles; a sister, Mrs. Susan BEEVIS of Lose Angeles and a number of grandchildren, step children, nieces and nephews. - kbz
