James A. Cox Sr., 65, of 1807 Michigan St., died at 11:45 a.m. Thursday in Culver Hospital. Mr. Cox was retired from Mid-States Steel & Wire Co., where he had been a foreman 46 years. He attended Eastside Baptist Church. He was born April 28, 1913, at Crawfordsville, a son of Joseph A. and Susan Hurst Cox. On Feb. 6, 1937, he was married to the former Mildred Dull, who survives. Other survivors are a son, James A. Cox Jr., of Crawfordsville; two daughters, Alberta Pruett of Crawfordsville and Marilyn S. Davis of Darlington; two brothers, Earl Cox and Lee Cox, both of Crawfordsville; and six grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Hunt & Son Funeral Home with the Rev, Gerald Dooley officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home. – jlr
