Mrs. Marietta "Mayme" Cox, 92, died Thursday in her home at 207 E. Green St., Waveland. She was a student of Christ Science. Mrs. Cox had lived near Greencastle until moving here in 1972. She was born in Clay County on March 21, 1883. She was married to Jesse A. Cox. Surviving are two sons, Lawrence of Waveland and Clarence of New Port Richey, FL; two daughters, Mrs. John (Ruby) Blair of Hammond and Mrs. Beatrice Witt of Waveland; eight grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Machledt and Services Funeral Home with Burial in Memory Gardens Cemetery at Rockville. Friends may call at the funeral home 5-9 p.m. Sunday. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to needy children. tch
