Charles Anson Crawford, son of John and Mary Crawford, died suddenly at 11 on Sat. night from an attack of heart failure, at the family residence on East Washington St. The deceased came to the city last Oct. in company with his father and brother and took over the business known as the Wilson Grocery on Main St. He made the acquaintance of many of our people in a business way and soon drew about him a circle of friends who will be shocked to hear of his death.  Charles Anson Crawford was 28, March 16 of this year. He was active and diligent in business and a successful career seemed opening before him but these bright hopes were doomed to be shattered. The deceased leaves to mourn his untimely death his wife, father and mother, one brother, one sister and one half-sister.  Mr. Crawford was born near Mace in Montgomery County March 16, 1887. He married Miss Maggie Peck of Lebanon, Ind at Danville, Illinois. Many citizens of Mace and vicinity remember Mr. Crawford. - typed by kbz
