Linden - Gladys M. Crabtree, 70 of Linden died at 2:08 am. Saturday in Culver Hospital at Crawfordsville. Mrs. Crabtree was a cook and had owned her own restaurant and worked at the national Homes Restaurant until her retirement in 1977. She was a member of the LindenBaptist Church and graduated from Linden HS in 1937. She was born at Mud Lake KY on Dec 6, 1918 to William and Lena Wax Soards. She had lived in Montgomery County for many years before moving to Linden in 1963. She married Roy R. Crabtree at Burksfield, KY on Aug 8, 1938. He survives. Also surviving are a son, David Lee of Shafter, Calif; three daughtesr, Mrs. Elmer (Rebecca) Proctor of Ocean Spring, Miss; Mrs. Jimmy (Naomi) Lother of Cedartown, GA and Mrs. Ruth Ellen WHitacker of Murfreesboro, Tenn; a broterh Clayde Soards of Waynetown; 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. A sister is deceased. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in Hahn Funeral Home with Rev. Ovid Need and Clyde Lee officiating. Burail will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home 4-8 p.m.
