Miss Ellen Crane, a step daughter of Dr. Briggs, and a lady of rare culture and accomplishments, died last Sunday night of consumption. Miss Crane spent several years in Italy with Dr. Marsh, our Minister to that country, and came home last fall with the disease from which she died. - kbz
