Elmer "Red" Crane, 59, of Indianapolis, former resident of Crawfordsville, died at 3 p.m. Sunday at his home. Mr. Crane had served the past 10 years as administrator at the Fairbanks Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born Dec. 22, 1912 in Wingate, the son of Fred and Susie Crane. Surviving with the wife are three daughters, Mrs. Jane W. Wright, Mrs. Carrol Calvert and Mrs. Sharon Alexander; four sisters, Vera Henry of Wingate, Lillian Mitchell and Ethel Cummings of Crawfordsville, and Claudine Branstetter of Darlington. He was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters. Funeral arrangements are pending.
