Max L. Crawford, 70, of 2045 Clover Drive, a retired employee of Steck's at Lafayette, died Wednesday night (June 29, 1977) in Culver Hospital. He had been a member of the First United Methodist Church here. He was graduated from Frankfort High School and Wabash College. Mr. Crawford was born at Michigantown on January 7, 1907, a son of Clifford and Jessie Dunn Crawford. He was married to Lydia Linn on June 15, 1930. Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Diane Hale of Crawfordsville; and two grandchildren, Steven Hale and Susan Erb, both of Monticello. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Hunt & Son Funeral Home with the Rev. Joe Wicks officiating. Burial will be in Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Friday. tch
