E. Eileen Crowder, 71 of Rockville died at 4:20 p.m. Monday (April 9) in Vermillion County Hospital at Clinton. Mrs. Crowder was former coowner and operator of Swing Inn Restaurant. She was formerly employed at the Turkey Run HS Cafeteria & Cherokee Trading Post near Turkey Run State Park. She was a member of Bloomingdale Methodist Church & Sugar Creek Home Economics Club. She was born May 30 1918 at Kingman to Guy Rufus & Sylvia Newnum McMasters. She married Glenn F. Crowder August 23, 1938. He died June 11, 1979. Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. William (Glenda) Walther of Crawfordsville and Mrs. Roy (Sharon) Hutson of Rt. 1, Bloomingdale; six grandchildren; and two greats. Two brothers, a sister & grandson are deceased. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Thursday in Butler Funeral Home at Rockville with Rev. John Swaim & Robert Grider officiating. Burial in Poplar Grove Cem near Marshall. Friends may call 3-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Funeral Home. - typed by kbz

E. Eileen Crowder, 71, of Rockville, died at 4:20 p.m. Monday in Vermillion County Hospital. Born May 3, 1918 in Kingman, she was the daughter of Guy Rufus and Sylvia Newnum McMasters.

She was married to Glenn F. Crowder April 23, 1938 and he preceded her in death June 11, 1979. She was co-owner and co-operator of Swinging Restaurant and Service Station. She was also a former Turkey Run HS cafeteria employee and former employee of Cherokee Village Trading Post near TR. She was a member of the Bloomingdale Methodist Church and Sugar Home Economics Club.

Survivors include two daughters, Glen Walther of Crawfordsville and Sharon Hutson of Bloomingdale; two brothers, one sister and a grandson.

Services are 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Butler Funeral Home at Rockville with Rev. John Swaim and Rev. Robert Grider officiating. Burial is in Poplar Grove Cemetery near Marshall. Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Wednesday. - typed by kbz
