Ora L. "Scotty" Crowder 88 of Crawfordsville died at 8:35 a.m. Wed July 9, 1997 at the Carmen Care Nursing Home in Crawfordsville. He was Jan 26, 1909 in Terre Haute to Amos and Maude Witsman Crowder. He was married Nov 1, 1937 in Williamsport to Mable Julian. She survives. Also surving: two daughters, Ruby Crowder and Lola Rose Crowder of Crawfordsville; a son, Bill of Indianapolis; 3 sisters, Robert Nieman of Covington; Vera Brooks of Coloma Mich; and Catherine Boehm of Plainfield; 3 grandch. and 3 greats. He was preceded in death by 5 brothers and a sister. Mr. Crowder was a member of the F & AM Yeddo Lodge #636 and the Modern Woodmen of America. He was a retired farmer and worked for Morgan Coal Co. Services 11 a.m. Saturday at Dickerson Funeral Home Veedersburg; Officiating Rev. Brian Hudson; Burial: Coopers Cemetery near Veedersburg. Visitaiton: 4-8 p.m. Friday with Masonic services at 7:30 pm at the Funeral Home. - kbz
