Mrs. Ruth L. Croy, 63, died Monday night in her home at 507 Hubbard St. She had been ill for several months. She was born in Montgomery County on Sept. 12, 1907, to Ed and Luella Shuler. She married Harley I. Clifton who died in 1942. On March 16, 1944, she married William Frederick Croy who died in 1957. Mrs. Croy graduated from Crawfordsville High School. She was a member of First Christian Church, Christian Women's Fellowship and Senior Citizens. Surviving are a son, Fred F. "Ed" Clifton, Crawfordsville; a daughter, Mrs. Robert J. Wray, Crawfordsville and three grandchildren, Joy Sue Clifton, Mickey Joe Clifton and Linda Kay Wray. She was preceded in death by a grandson Timothy Roger Clifton. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday by Rev. Howard F. Miller and Rev. Frank Little at Bright & Burkhart Funeral Home. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Wednesday. - jlr
