John Levi Cruea, 60, a native of Montgomery County who for 13 years was associated with the Farm Bureau elevator here, died suddenly Sunday afternoon at his home at Shideler, near Muncie. Mr. Cruea, who was working at his barn when stricken, was found by a friend, Don Prewett. The Delaware County Coroner attributed death to a heart attack. Born Oct 13, 1891, Mr. Creua was the son of Ellis and Ella Davis Cruea. He married Faye Harpel Sept 27,1 940. He was a member of the Eaton Congregational Church, Eaton Lions Club, Brookston Masonic Lodge, Brookstone Eastern Star and Scottish Rite at Indianapolis. Mr. Cruea, who was manager of the Farm Bureau elevator at SHideler, had served in this capacity since 1949. Previously he was manager of the White County Farm Bureau elevator 7 years. He also had resided in Martinsville since leaving Crawfordsville. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Wayne Tolley of this city and Mrs. Lloyd Tolley of Kissimee, Fla; two brothers, George Cruea of Crawfordsville and Guy Cruea, of Jersey City, NJ; three sisters, Mrs. Robert Holman of Crawfordsville; Mrs. Everett FOuts and Mrs. Herbert Lewellen, both of Waynetown and two grandchidren. Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon at the Bright Funeral home, wth burial at Waynetown Masonic cemetery. Rev. Paul Million will officiate. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.
