Waynetown, March 12 -- Mrs. Margret Ellen Cruea, 84, died at 11 o'clock Tuesday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Florence Fouts, in Waynetown after an illness of six weeks' duration, due to the infirmities of old age. Born near Clark's Hill, Jan 13, 1862, Mrs. Cruea was the daughter of Absolom and Jamima Davis, pioneer residents of that community. Her marriage to Ellis Cruea took place December 13, 1883, at Clark's Hill. Mrs. Cruea was a member of the Waynetown Christian Church. She had made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Opal Lewellen, in Waynetown, since the death of Mr. Cruea in 1928. Sons and daughters surviving include the Mrs. Fouts, at whose home she died; Mrs. Lewellen, with whom she made he rhome; Mrs. Jo Holman of Crawfordsville; Goerge W. Cruea, also of Crawfordsville; John L. Cruea, of Chalmers and Guy L. Cruea of Jersey City, NJ. Twelve grandchildren and nine great grandchildren also survive. The body will be taken tot he home of the daughter, Mrs. Lewellen after Tuesday evening, where friends may call to pay their respects. Funeral services will be conducted by the Rev. Guy E. Tremaine, pastor of the Waynetown Methodist Church at 2:30 o'clock Friday afternoon. The casket will not be opened at the church. Burial will be made at the Masonic Cemetery in Waynetown.

Waynetown, March 13 -- Funeral services for Mrs. Margaret E. Cruea aged Waynetown woman who died Tuesday morning at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Florence Fouts will be held in the Waynetown Methodist Church at 2:30 o'clock Friday afternoon with the pastor of the church, the Rev. Guy E. Tremaine in charge. In addition to her 3 daughters and 3 sons who survive, Mrs. Cruea is also survived by a brother, Frank Davis who resides in Crawfordsville. As previously announced the casket will not be opened at the church. Friends may call at the residence of another daughter, Mrs. Opal Lewellen in Waynetown to pay their respects. Burial will be made in the Masonic cemetery here.

Funeral services for Mrs. Margaret Ellen Cruea were held at 2:30 p.m. Friday from the Methodist Church. Rev. Guy E. Tremaine, pastor, officiated and for his discourse had the subject, A Picture of God.” Miss Mary Bennett of Indianapolis, was soloist and sang Beautiful Isle of Somewhere and Asleep in Jesus with Mrs. Clyde Shultz at the piano. The casket beaers were grandsons Kenneth Cruea, Gerald Cruea, Harold Bratton, Galen Lewellen, Paul West, Paul Fouts, Wayne Tolley and Robert Blankenship. Flower bearers were granddaughters and close neighbors, Thelma West, Mildred Wert, Vivian Tolley, Ellen Blankenship, Mable Cruea, Mardel Cruea, Hazel Lewellen, Eleanor Schlattman, Frances Bratton, Louise Fouts, Nellie Haines, Sarada Harlan, Ruth Applegate, Mildred Cord, Roa Stockdale and Bertha Myers. Mrs. Cruea’s only other relative, her brother, Frank Davis, of Crawfordsville was too ill to attend. Her son, Guy Cruea returned to Jersey City NJ Sunday and her grandson Gerald Cruea, who flew here from Long Beach, Calif will return there by plane. Burial was in the Masonic Cemetery.
