Darlington Jan 12 – Mrs Lavina Elizabeth Crumm, 77, widow of William A. Crumm and a lifelong resident of this community died this morning at 8 o’clock at Culver Hospital, Crawfordsville of pneumonia with which she had been ill for three weeks.  A daughter of Abraham and Emeline Peterson she was born Feb 21, 1859 in Montgomery County. She married Mr. Crumm, Jan 13, 1876.  Mrs. Crumm was a member of the Congregational-Christian Church and Pythian Sisters lodge. She leaves two daughters, Mrs. Della Booher of Cerro Gordo, Ill and Mrs. Emma Vannice of near here; two sons, Floyd of Mace and Clarence of Darlington, also 10 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren, and a brother, Oliver Peterson of Larned, Kan. Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 1:30 o’clock from the Congregational-Christian Church. Interment in Odd Fellows cemetery. - kbz
