LEBANON – Mrs. LaVerna P. Cunningham, 86, of Lebanon, died at 8:10 a.m. Wednesday in the English Nursing Home here. She had been a resident of the Ben Hur Nursing Home at Crawfordsville for two years before going to the English Nursing Home earlier this month. Mrs. Cunningham was a member of the Central Christian Church and Order of Eastern Star at Lebanon. She was born, and reared in the Advance area. She moved to Lebanon in 1888. Born Aug 15. 1880, she was a daughter of John W. and Miranda Lane Jones. She was married Oct. 10, 1900, to Charles W. Cunningham. He died Oct. 2, 1957. Surviving are two sons, Wayne and Eugene Cunningham, both of Lebanon, a daughter, Mrs. Richard Cox of St. Joseph, Mich.; a brother, Harry V. Jones of Lebanon; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Russell & Hitch Funeral Home in Lebanon with Rev. Fred Sharp officiating. Internment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery at Lebanon. Friends may pay their respects at the funeral home after 7 p.m. Wednesday. – jlr
