Wingate - Mrs. Ruth E. Cunningham, 48 of Dayton and formerly of Wingate died at 4:25 p.m. Wednesday in Culver Hospital at Crawfordsville where she had been a patient 5 weeks. Mrs. Cunningham was an occupational therapist in the Soldiers Home at Lafayette and was also a professional artist. She had resided at Wingate until 1972 when she moved to Dayton. She was a member of Woodland Heights Christian Church at Crawfordsville and Wingate American Legion Auxiliary. Born Oct 18, 1925 near New Richmond she was a daughter of William and Effie Lindsey Priebe. She married Hubert Cunningham April 26, 1945. He preceded her in death in June 1963. Survivors include three sons, Hubert Jr. of Lafayette; Patrick Neal of Crawfordsville and Ronald Eugene of Crawfordsville; a daughter, Mrs. Sheils McDonald of Lebanon; a stepson, Marshall Cunningham of Waynetown; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Sandra Miles of New Richmond; two brothers, Lloyd Priebe of Rantoul, Ill; and William Priebe of Greencastle; three sisters, Mrs. Jeri Clone of Chicago; Mrs. Audrey Rogers of Kankakee, Ill and Mrs. Norma Jean Stephenson of Franklin; a granddaughter and four stepgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Mrs. Dorothy Keys. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in Servies-Thomas Funeral Home at Waynetown with Rev. Lucian Robinson officiating. Burial in Pleasant Hill cemetery at Wingate. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Friday.- kbz
