Waynetown - Mrs. Mary Josephine Hall, 81, died at 12:30 p.m. Sunday in Culver Hospital at Crawfordsville where she had been a patient since Saturday morning. She had been in failing health one year and seriously ill 10 days. Mrs. Hall was a member of the Waynetown Christian Church. She also was a charter member of Waynetown American Legion Post 44 and Legion Auxiliary. Mrs. Hall who served as a nurse in WWI, was a member of the first class of nursing to be graduated from Culver Hospital. She was born Dec 14, 1881, at Rossville, Ill, a daughter of Anderson and Clarissa McMains. She married Ed Hall Dec 14, 1919 at Crawfordsville. He died in 1956. Surviving are a son, and a daughter-in-law, Charley and Nellie Hall of Rt 2, Waynetown. She was preceded in death by a son, Capt. Robert Hall who was killed in action during WWII. Funeral services will be announced for 2 p.m. Tuesday at Servies Funeral Home here with Rev. Keith Ogler, pastor of the Christian Church officiating. Interment will be in Masonic Cemetery here. Friends may pay thier respects at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Monday. - kbz
