Washington Hampton died Monday at 1:30 o'clock at his residence corner of Spring and Walnut streets, aged 47 years. Mr. Hampton was a member of Co. K, 140th Regiment, and leaves a wife and four children. - thanks to Kim H

Washington Hampton died at his home, corner of Spring and Walnut Streets Monday afternoon at the age of 47 years. The remains were interred in the Masonic Cemetery on Tuesday. The services were conducted by Rev. GP Fuson
