Pendleton Hanna died at his home on W. Main Street, Sunday evening at about half past 8. He has been in rather poor health during the past summer and has long been a sufferer from progressive paralysis, which affected his heart. He had a severe attack about a month ago, and an almost fatal seizure on the morning of the day of his death. The funeral services at the home on Tuesday afternoon were conducted by Rev. WF Gibson. The further services were under charge of the Masonic fraternity. The body was interred in the New Cemetery. Mr. Hanna was born and lived in the community all his life. His living brothers and sisters are William C; Tyre L; Lindsay; Joseph T; Henry C; Mary J. Milligan. Nancy A. Fullenwider, Jennie Donaldson and Daniel. Those dead are: Margaret, Frances mcMurray, James t. and Alberta. He was marr. June 23, 1886 to Miss Jennie McMAINS. Of this union one son, Raymond was b. Mr. Hanna entered the army as a member of Co G 135 IVI. After 16 months service his health failed. He was a member of the Presbyterian church at the time of his death. - typed by kbz

Amongst those present at the Hanna funeral, from a distance were; Miss Emma Hanna, Roachdale; Mrs. Lewis McGaughey, Fincastle; Mrs. William Fullenwider, Indianapolis; Clay Hanna, Terre haute; and Adam Hanna, Greencastle. Mrs. MJ Milligan and Mrs. Jennie Donaldson, who live in Kansas are both seriously ill. - typed by kbz
