Funeral
services for Doris Marie Newlin, eight-year-old daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Eddie Newlin of Darlington, were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Russell
E. Brown Mortuary with Rev. Frank Ryan officiating. She died Saturday in
Culver Hospital. Pall bearers were John Groves, Mahlon Smith, Rodney
Booker, Mike Cochran, Harold Yates and Kent Butler. Flower bearers were
Diana Branstetter, Mary Cohee, Becky Burk, Carol Ann Pickering, Susan
Evans and Linda Horn. Songs "God Will Take Care of You" and "Under His
Wings" were sung by Donald Ballinger, accompanied by Mrs. Nellie
Shepherd. Burial was in Masonic Cemetery.
