Mary J. CRANE [NICHOLS] was born in Dodge County, WI Oct 7, 1844 departed life April 1, 1923. At the age of 16 she came with her parents to this city where she spent the remainder of her life. On Dec 30, 1868 she was united in marriage to Francis M. NICHOLS. To this union 4 children : John Roy; Everett L and Mrs. Grace Brown of this city. Her husband and one son, Harry M. preceded her in death a number of years ago. She leaves to mourn her loss two sons, one daughter, one step daughter, Mrs. John W. Selby of near Alamo; one granddaughter, Carolyn Elizabeth Brown, and one brother, Calvin Crane of Veedersburg. She spent her entire life in devoting her time to her home and children. Her last illness was of short duration but she was a patient sufferer, greeting her friends with a smile. == typed by kbz
