Frank P. NORTHBUT, 59, a one time salesman in Waveland,
committed suicide on Saturday morning by throwing himself under
the caboose of the PA local as it was pulling out of
Crawfordsville. While here he conducted a clothing store in the
room now occupied by the Myron Grocery for M. Diamondstone of
Crawfordsville. After leaving here he was employed at Jamestown
and other places and at the time of his death he was a salesman
in the Freedman Store. He served one term on the city council. He
is survived by his wife, daughter and a grandchild. A son died
about 5 years ago.
