DARLINGTON — Services are announced for 2 p. m. Sunday at the Bright Funeral Home here for Carl Needham, 69, former Montgomery County resident who died Thursday morning in Austin, Tex. Mr. Needham was fatally stricken while visiting his son-in-law and daughter, Dr. and Mrs. John Dale Weaver. His home was in Omaha, Neb. A native of near Darlington, he was born May 11, 1890 to Arch and Rachel Tribbett Needham. He was married Sept. 14, 1907 to Irene Peebles and they began housekeeping on a farm in this county. In 1920 they moved to Greene County, where Mr. Needham continued farming, and in 1932 went to Omaha, where he became an order buyer for a livestock firm. He was a member of the old Center Grove Church. Surviving are the widow; two daughters, Miss Marjorie Needham of Omaha and Mrs. Weaver; a brother, Walter Needham of near Thorntown; a sister, Mrs. Homer Miller of Rt. 1 Crawfordsville, and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son and a brother. Eddie Bamish of New Ross will officiate at the funeral rites and interment will be in Greenlawn Cemetery here. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 o'clock tonight.
