New Richmond - Elnora G. Nesbitt, 91 of Heritage Health Care in West Lafayette died there at 8:15 a.m. Wednesday. SHe had been a resident there since December 1984 and seriously ill since August 1988.
Mrs. Nesbitt operated a nursery school in her home and later was deputy auditor of Montgomery County.
Born near Dunnington, Benton County on Oct 30, 1898, she was the youngest of several children. Her family moved to New Richmond from the Dunnington area when she was a child. She graduated from New Richmond HS in 1918. She married Roy F. Lane in 1919. Their wedding was the first ever held in New Richmond Methodist Church. She married Claude F. Nesbitt in 1956. He died in 1978.
Mrs. Nesbitt was a life member of the New Richmond Methodist Church. Surviving are two sons from her first marriage, R. Franklin Lane of Lafayette and Richard E. Lane of Seattle, Wash; three stepsons, Robert Nesbitt of Cayuhoga Falls, Ohio; Gene Nesbitt of West Lafayette and David Nesbitt of New Richmond.
