Hillsboro - Mrs. Gladys K. Nesbitt, 79, Hillsboro died this morning in the St. Elizabeth Hospital at Lafayette following an illness of one week.  Mrs. Nesbitt was a member of the Hillsboro United Methodist Church, a charter member of the Kum-Join-Us class of church, WFCS and former member of Cain Township Home Economics Club and Fountain County Chorus. She was a graduate of White Hall, Illinois High School.

She was born April 9, 1893 at White Hall, the daughter of Thomas A. and Ina Baldwin Kessinger. She married John H. Wemken and later WIlliam R. Nesbitt. Both preceded her in death.  

Surviving are a son, Dean H. Wemkem of Vallejo, Calif; one daughter Mrs. Charles (Marian) Parker, Rt 1, Veedersburg; one sister, Mrs. Ward Bridgewater of Springfield, Ill; three grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister.

Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Crumley-Williams Funeral Home with Rev. Walter C. Williams officiating. Burial will be in the Masonic Cemetery at Waynetown. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4:30 p.m. Wednesday - kbz
