New Richmond - Mrs. Ruth Nesbitt, 80, a resident of New Richmond all her life, died at 4 a.m. today in Home Hospital, Lafayette. She had been hospitalized two days after a stroke. She was a member of the New Richmond United Methodist Church and WSCS of the church and a charter member of the Tuesday Study Club. A graduate of New Richmond HS she attended Purdue. Mrs. Nesbitt was born Feb 23, 1894, a daughter of Thomas B and Martha Kirkpatrick Miller. She married Herman B. Nesbitt at New Richmond Sept 5, 1916. He survives. Other survivors include 3 sons, William Richard, Rt 1, Romney, Thomas, New Richmond and John of Doylestown, PA; 5 daughters, Mrs. Martha Steinbricker of Ridge Manor, Fl; Mrs. Virginia Greenburg, Wingate; Mrs. Helen Williams, Hartsdale, NY; Mrs. Doris Jackson, Lexington KY; and MIss WInifred Nesbitt, Joliet, Ill; two sisters, Mrs. Mildred Swank, New RIchmond, Mrs. Helen Manley of Bozeman, Mont; 19 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers. Private funeral services will be at 2 .m. Thursday in Servies-Thomas Funeral Home, Waynetown with Rev. Tom True officiating. Burial in New Richmond Cemetery. There will be no p[ublic calling. The family requests memorials be made in the form of donations to the United Methodist Children's Home, 515 W. Camp St, Lebanon.
