Mrs. Margaret Imo Newell, 39 died Sunday morning at 5:20 o'clock in Culver Hospital. She had been seriously ill six weeks with heart ailment. A native of Tuscola, Ill, Mrs. Newell was born May 18, 1913 the daughter of Oscar and Caddie Campbell Moody. She was married to Glenn Newell May 11, 1929. The father and husband survive. She was a member of the Browns Valley Christian Church, Missionary Society of Freedom Baptist Church and active in 4-6 work. The family has lived in Waveland 10 years, moving here from the Bainbridge community, where they lived 13 years. Surviving in addition to the husband and father, include two sons, Daryl and Bill Newell, both of Waveland; four daughters, Mrs. Loretta Seybold, Mrs. Mary Ann French, Miss Norma Newell and Miss Shirley Newell all of Waveland; two sisters Mrs. Icis Deere of Greencastle and Mrs. Velma Whitecotton of Waveland; four brothers, Dwight Moody of Grant Park, Ill; Blye Moody of Wingate and Oscar and James R. Moody both of Waveland and 8 (?) grandchildren. Mrs. Newell was preceeded in death by her mother who died in 1918 and a sister, Mrs. Lorene Canine who died in 1922. Funeral services wil be conducted Thursday at 1:30 at Freedom Baptist Church, Rev CW Mears will officiate with burial in Bainbridge cemetery. - kbz
