RILEY AVERY NEWLIN

Riley Avery Newlin, 42, died at 3:45 a.m. Sunday in Robert Long hospital in Indianapolis. He had been ill the past two years. Mr. Newlin had lived in Crawfordsville most of his life and was a truck driver. He was a member of the First Baptist Church and served in World War II. He was a son of Fred and Ida Stevens Newlin. Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Ida Harrison of Crawfordsville; three brothers, Luther and Eddie, both of Darlington and Fred Newlin of Crawfordsville; a sister, Mrs. Estella Schenck of Crawfordsville and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services are set for 2 p.m. Wednesday at McCloud Mortuary with Rev. Lester Wright officiating. Burial will be in the Masonic cemetery. Friends may call at the mortuary. -- thanks to Kim H
