Earl S. Newlin, 76, of 805 Mill St., died at 8:20 p.m. in Culver Hospital. He was a retired Mid-States Steel & Wire Co. employe. A son of Mr. and Mrs. David Newlin of Crawfordsville, he was born Sept. 18, 1890. Surviving is a son, William of this city. Mr. Newlin was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn McDonald Newlin, a brother and a sister. Funeral services are set for 2 p.m. Monday at Powers Funeral Home with Rev. John Servies officiating. Burial will be in Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call after noon Sunday at the funeral home.--waw
