Newlin - Eddie

Darlington- Eddie L. Newlin, 60, Rt. 5, Crawfordsville, a self employed well driller for many years, died Thursday afternoon in Culver Hospital, where he had been a patient five weeks. He had been in failing health a year. He was a son of Fred and Ida Stevens Newlin and was born Nov. 23, 1910. He was married in Indianapolis on September 17, 1927 to Dollie Zachary, who survives. Also surviving are three sons, Harold, Larry and Jerry of Darlington; three daughters, Mrs. Don Stonebraker of Linden and Mrs. Gordon Dagley and Mrs, Rosemary Bowles of Darlington; a brother, Luther of Waveland; a sister, Mrs. Margaret Schenck of Crawfordsville; 18 grandchildren, and a great grandson. Two sons, a daughter, six brothers and a sister are deceased. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at Bright & Burkhart Funeral Home in Darlington, where friends may call after 4 p.m. Saturday. Interment will be in Greenlawn Cemetery. - thanks so much to Kim H
