Newlin - Harold

DARLINGTON – Harold L. Newlin, 41, Academy St., Darlington, died Thursday afternoon in Culver Hospital at Crawfordsville after a short illness. He attended Crawfordsville High School and was a self-employed water well driller. Born July 6, 1935, he was a son of Eddie and Dollie Zachary Newlin of Crawfordsville. He married Patricia Long on Nov. 26, 1955, at Crawfordsville. Survivors include his wife; his mother; a daughter, Brenda at home; four sons, Ricky, Harold, Joe and Eddie, all at home; three sisters, Mrs. Betty Stonebraker of Linden, Mrs. Diane Dagley of Darlington and Rosemary Newlin of Crawfordsville; and two brothers, Larry of Crawfordsville and Jerry of Darlington. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Darlington Chapel of Burkhart Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Penwood officiating. Burial will be in Darlington Odd Fellows Cemetery.
