Kingman - Daniel Harold Newnum, 73 of Kingman died at 3;15 p.m. Firday March 1, 1974 at Lake View Hospital in Danville, Ill where he had been a patient 5 days. He was born April 7, 1900, the son of Embert and Essie Atkinson Newnum. He married Hazel Brown at Tangier and she survives. Other survivors include a son, Earl of Rural Kingman; a daughter, Mrs. Mary Evelyn Harris of Sterling Heights, Mich; six grandchildren; a brother, Connie Newnum of Tangier; a sister, Mrs. Lucille Sinney of Bismark ND and six grandchildren. Two brothers preceded him in death. He was a member of the Yeddo Baptist Church and he had been employed for 40 years by the Central & Easter Ill RR. Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday the Rice Funeral Home in Marshall. The Rev. Larry McMillan will officiate and burial will be in Rush Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be after 5 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
