Leanna Bell Nicely, 81, native of Walnut Twp and life long resident of Montgomery Co. died at her home here at 1 o'clock this afternoon. She had been ill for 35 years and seriously ill the past year with heart trouble. Mrs. Nicely was born 25 Feb 1859 a daughter of George and Dorcia Dorsey. She was married twice, first on 1 March 1877 to JB Revercomb, who d. 21 Jan 1883. In Feb 1888, she was married to James M. Nicely who expired 1915. She had been a member of the Methodist Church since girlhood and included among her many friends were several of the Church's ministers who always made her home as headquarters on their visits here. Surviving are a son, Jesse Revercomb, Anderson; a step son; four sisters, Mrs. Fred Rogers of New Market; Mrs. WI Sparks of Newton, Iowa; Mrs. Leola Thompson of Indianapolis and Mrs. William E. Evans, New Ross and four grandchildren, Jane Revercomb of Cincinnati; Paul Nicely of LaPorte; Joseph Sparks of Ft. Benjamin Harrison and Mrs. Louise DeBard of Advance. Funeral services will be held at the Methodist Church here at 2 p.m. Friday with Rev. Oakel Hall of Lafayette in charge. Burial will be made at Jamestown.
