NILES - Services for George Edwin Nichols, 50 of 2819 Adams Rd. who died at 6:30 a.m. Tuesday in Pawating Hospital, will be held at 1 p.m. Friday in the Pifer Funeral Home. Rev. Joe R. Johnson, of the Church of Christ will officiate. Burial will be in Silverbrook Cemetery. Friends may call after p.m. today at the funeral home. He was born August 21, 1923, in Crawfordsville, Indiana, and moved here in 1972 from Chicago. He was a truck driver for B & L Motor Freight in Newark, Ohio. On August 13, 1941 in Crawfordsville, he married Ruth Layne, who survives with his mother, Beatrice McCoy, of Crawfordsville; four sons, James of Wichita, Kan,. John of Aurora, Ill., Thomas of Chicago and Donald at home; a daughter, Mary K., at home; a brother, Oaka Nichols of Mansfield, Ohio; three sisters, Mrs. Alice Witt of Attica, Ind., Mrs. Naomi Kinney of Waynetown, Ind., and Mrs. Ruth Douglas of Crawfordsville, and two grandchildren. – thanks to Kim H
