Nine - Bessie Boord

Hillsboro, Dec 2 - Mrs. Bessie Nine, wife of Archie Nine, of near here, died Saturday morning at the home of her brother, Earl Boord of Mellott. Mrs. Nine went to the home of her brother several days ago to assist in caring for him and his family, who were all ill with influenza. She had only been there a few days when she was stricken with the disease which was followed by pneumonia and was claimed by death at 5:30 o'clock Saturday morning. Mr. Boord who is also suffering from pneumonia is reported to be in a critical condition and his death is expected at any time. Mrs. Bessie Nine was the oldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Boord residing west of here, and was about 32 years of age. Besides her husband, she leaves a daughter, aged 10 years and a son, aged 5 years her parents, one brother, Earl Boord of Mellott and two sisters, Mrs. Grace Nine of near here and Miss Dot Boord, who is at home with her parents. The body of the deceased was removed from her brother's home in Mellott to her own home near here Saturday morning but arrangements have not been made for the funeral services.   -- typed by kbz
