Veedersburg -- Donald Nixon, 77, retired farmer and life resident of Veedersburg, died Wednesday at 8 a.m. at the Rudisill Nursing Home in Covington. He had been a patient there since November. Born in Veedersburg, April 22, 1889, he was the son of Marshall and Florence Cade Nixon. His marriage to Anna Helmick was Feb 9, 1914. she preceded him in death June 14, 1964. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Louise Roberts and Mrs. Clara Hershberger, both of Danville, Ill; and Mrs. Mary Cushman of Russellville; one son, Lewis of Veedersburg; 7 grandchildren; 4 greats. The Fishero Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements. Funeral services at the funeral home will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with burial in RockField Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Thursday.
