George V. NOBLITT, aged father of Dr. JS Noblitt, died Wednesday morning at 7:45. He was brought to the Machledt Funeral home and will be taken to his old home at Marengo, Indiana for burial Friday morning. - kbz

George V. NOBLITT, son of John T. and Nancy VANCE Noblitt was born Dec 14, 1847 and died April 25, 1945 aged 97 years 4 months 11 days. He was of a family of 7 children 1 girl and 6 boys. He was married Nov 27, 1873 to Nancy McDONALD. To this union were born 4 children: Zura HYSLOPE of Marengo; Dr. James Noblitt of Waveland; Nell BELL of Bedford; John Noblitt, deceased. His wife preceded him in death Nov 13, 1930. He leaves to mourn his loss 3 children; 12 grandchildren 18 greats ; 2 great greats and a host of neighbors and friends. He with his wife joined the Baptist Church at Rock Springs in 1865 and has always lived an honest upright life and will be missed by his many friends. He has in the service of our country, 3 grandsons and 7 great grandsons. Truly we can say his was a life well spent. kbz
