Kingman -- Charles 'Pete' Norris, 84, of Kingman Route 2, died at 1:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov 30 1972 at his home. Born Sept 19, 1888 in Fountain County, he was the son of Charles and Samantha Summers Norris. In 1909 he married Dessie Crowder, who died Jan 28, 1972. Survivors include a daughter Mrs. Dorene Shull of Kingman Route 2; a foster daughter, Vickie Walton at home; a foster son, Wayne Babb of Muncie; three sisters, Mrs. Kate Martin of Danville, Ill and Mrs. Ruth Cox and Mrs.Ella Parent both of Tangier; a grandchild and two great grandchildren. Services will be at the Woodrow Funeral Home at 10 a.m. EST Saturday with the Rev. Alfred Dobbs officiating. Burial will be in the Kingman Fraternal Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday. (Thanks to Betty D)
