Ladoga - Ada P. Oaks, 72, a native of Kentucky died at 1 a.m. Wednesday in the home of her son, Vernon Oaks in Ladoga. She was born Sept 18, 1889 in Waynesburg KY and her parents were John and Minerva Rush. In 1903 she married James Oaks in Stanford, KY. Survivors include 5 sons, Vernon, Leslie and Otis of Ladoga; Elmer and Gaffer of New Ross; 3 daughters Mrs. Minerva Cross, Mrs. Mary Henderson and Mrs. Susie Mason of Crawfordsville; 3 1/2 sisters, two, half brothers; 33 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and 3 sons. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in Gephart Funeral Home in in Ladoga with Rev. C. Marshal Bowes officiating. Burial in Ladoga Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after noon Thursday.
