COVINGTON -- Braize O. Ocheltree, 84, died at 8:45 a.m. Sunday in the Rudisill Nursing Home in Covington. He had been a patient one week and in failing health one year. He was born March 2, 1880, near Williamsport to William and Elizabeth Meharry Ocheltree. He was married to Flossie N. Jones Sept. 26, 1903. Mr. Ocheltree was a member of the Covington Baptist Church. He formerly lived and worked in Veedersburg. For the past 30 years he lived in Covington. From 1919-52 he worked as a boilermaker for the C&EI Railroad at Danville, Ill. Surviving are his wife; a sister, Mrs. Lela Blacker of Indianapolis, three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sons, a daughter, five sisters and a brother. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home in Covington. Rev. Glenn Ray will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
