Mrs. Frances Odell, who has been critically ill at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John Pickard, died on Wed. afternoon. Funeral services will be held on Fri. morning at ten, at Union chapel at Hollandsburg, burial at Morton Cemetery Mrs. Odell was 82 years, 8 months and 3 days old. Death was caused by paralysis. She was married to Miles Hart in 1859. To this union one son, William was born, who still survives. In 1877 she married Albert Beach, who had one daughter, now Mr. Will Gillum of Paris, Ill at the time of their marriage and to them was born, one child, Lucinda, now Mrs. John Pickard. In 1883 she married James Madison Odell. After his death she lived for 3 years with her stepson, Bruce Odell near Judson. For the last 10 years she has lived with Mrs. Pickard. There are two grandchildren, Kenneth and Audrey Pickard, two stepsons, James Odell of Russellville and Jacob Odell of Kansas, and stepdaughter, Mrs. Eva Phillips, deceased. Mrs. Odell was a very kind hearted woman and a great hand to care for the sick and afflicted. Before the infirmites of age came up on her, she never tired of neighborly services. She was a faithful member of the Baptist Church for 50 years. Funeral services will be conducted by Rev SK Fuson. - transcribed by kbz
