On last Saturday the reaper whose name is Death, entered the home of Mr. & Mrs. John L. Oldshue, and transplanted from earth to heaven the one wee flower that brightened their home. Vera Belle Oldshue was born Aug 24, 1894 and died Jan 28,1899 after one week of illness, marked by intense suffering. The cause of death was scarlet fever, with a diphtheretic complication the last day. Funeral services were conducted at the family residence on Sunday by Rev. WT Cuppy. Interment at Union Cemetery

Dear little Vera: "Go to thy rest, fair child, go to thy dreamless bed, while yet so gentle, undefiled, with blessings on thy head." A friend - transcribed by kbz
