John C. OLIVER, 82, an expert carpenter passed away Thursday night at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Luther McIntyre, 2 1/2 miles NE of Bloomingdale. Death was due to complications. He was born August 8, 1851 in Montgomery County, the son of William and Ann and later moved to Russellville. More than 50 years ago he married Sue Lear who died in 1913. Mr. Oliver was a member of IOOF [Independent Order of Odd Fellows] . Survivors are four daughters: Mrs. Luther McInture; Mrs Nora Rhodes of Detroit; Mrs. Lulu Ard of California and Mrs. RC Vaught of Terre Haute. Funeral services at 10 o'clock Sunday a.m. at the McIntyre home with Rev. CC Griggs officiaing. Interment in Russellville Cemetery.
